maybe we should get a group together to get a well-protected box of 3-4 bottles shipped. Who's in?

So, I got into the Union 52 a week or two ago. I'm quite enjoying it. Definitely a Canadian whisky--there may be some 52 year old scotch in there, but this ain't no scotch whisky. It's smooth and sweet, not enough to be cloying, but dark caramel for sure; a bit more complex than the Wiser's Legacy I tried--indeed, this is to date the best Wiser's I've had. Almost up to the Forty Creek Confedration Oak Reserve, but just not quite there. Still, very enjoyable, I'd say in the 88-89 range,

Thanks for posting your thoughts @Spitfire. @Nozinan, have you had a chance to give your bottle a try yet?

@Nelom
The bottles arrived just before Passover. I won't be touching them until @paddockjudge comes into town in May.

@Spitfire It's a good whisky. I've only tasted it twice and I think I need a couple more to formulate an opinion. Luckily the bottle I split (into 2 bottles, not our stomachs) with @paddockjudge is perfect for that.

@paddockjudge Still about a thousand left of the Last Barrels. Do you think we should do a H2H with the 52? Very different beasts.

Thanks to @ Nozinan for procuring and sharing several bottles of Union 52 . I enjoyed this for the first time from his cabinet and because of his generosity I can also enjoy this whisky from my cabinet.

@paddockjudge So, whaddya think?
BTW, guy at Legacy Liquor in Vancouver said they were out of U52, and that it was done--no more to be had. I may have to see about that...

Just noticed on the LCBO website that Wiser's Dissertation is now listed. $65 and bottled at 46.1%, it will be an LCBO exclusive. Won a couple awards at the WWA including worlds best blended limited release whisky. Anyone tried it?

@Mancub, I tasted it two years ago in a master class with Don Livermore. I presume it has been further matured. I enjoyed it then; however, the 30 something year old Wiser's was more to my liking. I'm anxious to try it again.
