@paddockjudge, yes Alberta Premium 25 yo for CAN $ 30 was (to me) an even better deal than was Alberta Premium 30 yo for $ 50, but I cannot claim to have gotten that deal. You got that deal; I did not. Although I did, through your generosity, eventually receive that bottle from you, or one just like it. I do treasure that unopened bottle, because I know what the whisky inside should taste like based on experience tasting from another of your bottles of Alberta Premium 25 yo.

@Victor - yes, I could have added Aberlour 10 to my list - sometimes as low as £20 over here but always been at 40% to my knowledge. Lots of toffee apples from memory, decent.

I suppose it's an oxymoron to mention LCBO and value for money, but personally speaking the 1792 Full Proof for $65.95 and the Deanston 10 PX cask strength at $79.95 are my best value per money compared to similar cask strength offerings.

@Astroke A similar oxymoron with BC Liquor Stores. However, there are one or two good buys: Glen Garioch 12 at $59 is a good one.

@Astroke the 1792 looks intriguing, but I have to say the Deanston is just OK. Sure it's not a bad price but I would prefer something a little better made. Benromach 10 was cheaper, and though not CS, I think it is a better quality of juice in the bottle.

@Nozinan For me the Deanston 10 CS is a fantastic pour. I enjoy it more than Glendronach CS 4 which was significantly higher priced. Did a H2H last night. I purchased a second bottle as well. Benromach 10 is a nice pour, I have a bottle in the bar as well as the 10 100 (better but no deal at the LCBO price. $88 in Nova Scotia.

@Astroke I agree the Ben 10/100 was expensive here. A friend got me one from NS, and I got 2 from the UK. Approx cost about $80-90 total.
