I had some nice Canadian whiskey for the big day. I have a couple bottles of Pappy and a passel of Elijah Craig cask strength. I hope these bottles get me to the end some day.

I’ve been drinking more tequila and IPAs lately but fall is approaching so my tastes will switch to a good stout and a smooth scotch.

@Benancio, Russian Imperial Stout is my favourite style of beer. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but the suggestion of pairing a stout with an Isla is tempting me right now....and thank you for letting us buy the last three bottles of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof in New Mexico.

The evening ended up quite subdued - one beer and one whisky and I was ready for bed (my stomach was also full of the largest hamburger Gourmet Burger Kitchen can make which, post consumption, felt a little coma inducing!)
