A bottle of Jadwiga mead (unopened), Del Maguey Crema de Mezcal, Mount Gay rum, and an absolute shit-load of sour beer - Lambics, Flemish Reds, American Wilds. They tend to keep for several years, some even longer. Sour beer was my first love and I still have a yearning for a Cantillon or Rodenbach on occasion.

Not much - my wife doesn't drink and I don't waste my 2 liquor nights on non-whisky libations! The other 5 nights of the week I usually have one beer, so I do keep a fair bit of that around. Nothing fancy, and nothing too boring - just whatever's in the $10 per 6-pack range.

A crap load of craft beers, Almost all dark. Imperial stouts and dark Belgian Strong Ales, Imperial Porters, etc. My customers often ask what's in my fridge and when I explain that my personal beer range starts at 10% and moves up to 20% they just blink. I just love big dark beers that I can age for year after year. I keep having brandies, cognac, rums and tequilas suggested to me, but I spend so much money on beer and whisky that really I couldn't afford another alcohol related hobby :D
Awesome discussion btw!

...there is a lot. The main part is the Whisky section - besides this I have about 40+ rums, 12 Cognacs and Armagnacs, 12 Gins (my wife likes her G&T sometimes), 25 Eau-de-vie and Fruitdestillates, 25 Sherries, 20+ Ports, 12 tequilas and Mezcals, some Vermouth (red&white, sweet and dry), Vodka (three or four different brands), Aperol, Ramazotti, Maraschino, some Liqueurs, 10 different bitters...and always a selection of four or five different artisanal /local/interesting beers in the fridge (+ Corona and Tannenzäpfle Pils as a permanent resident) ... as we like to entertain & have guests and friends at our house a lot I divided the cabinet in the open section which contains some decent standards and most of the mixing spirits and the more special Whiskies and Spirits which are in a separate location which will be opened for access if guests have a particular interest in fine spirits. Besides the spirits I have a nice wine cellar which is divided in the drink and hold sections and contains red, white, sparkling and sweet/fortified wines mostly from europe but also new world and exotics from Israel, lebanon etc.

I homebrew mead! Right now I have a gallon jug of cherry-infused stuff that just finished fermentation. I also have a few beers, some Stoli, and of course, some gin on hand (mostly for straight shots) :D

Camarena Reposado tequila Hendrick's gin Victoria's gin Doorly's XO rum Kraken spiced rum Spicebox whiskey (for whiskey gingers) Hazelnut liqueur St. Germains Elderflower liqueur Soho Lychee liqueur Grey Goose vodka
Much of that is the girlfriend's stuff. Only the Doorly's and the gins are mine.
I also have a pretty good collection of big-bottle craft beers (aged imperial stouts, barleywines, imperial IPAs, etc) - around 20-25, some of which I'm letting bottle condition; and about 15-20 Belgian beers on hand.

A few bottles of rum, but mainly lots and lots of brandy (cognac, armagnac, calvados, American grape brandy, Marc de Bourgogne, eaux de vie, and brandy de Jerez). More of some than of others, but a fairly good mix of different expressions, though I've stocked up on a few cognacs in particular.

Cheap but easy drinking rice wine, umeshu (japanese plum liqueur), random bottles of $10-level Cabernet and Shiraz. I help my wife with finishing bottles of red on weekends, but otherwise I rarely drink anything but whisky when at home. I may have a glass of cognac now and then so I like to keep one bottle, but I've only just opened my 3rd bottle, a Hennessy VS that has replaced my previous bottle of Courvosier XO... the Hennessy isn't bad but I wish I had had it before the Courvosier.

Typically I drink only whisky and wine, however I do enjoy a G&T during the hot summer months (I enjoy them too much, which is why I don't buy much gin...lol) and ill cook with rum, Marsala, and brandy. Along with those is a lonely bottle of armanac.

I've got some cognacs from a wine fair.(such as the fresh and fruity Chauvaud-Buzin VSOP) I've also got an 18 year old Pampero rum from AD Rattray. An elixir du Ventoux(bottled by Châteauneuf du pâpe... great stuff!) And some bottles of nice port!

Hendricks Gin, Bombay East Gin, Tanqueray, Jose Cuervo gold and silver, St Germain, Pearl Vodka, Kahlua, and some wine. I drink a lot of gin in the summer months...gin and tequila seem popular bbq liquors.

Quite a bit other than whisky for us:
Tequilas/Mezcals: Casa Noble (3 types), Chinaco Anejo, Don Julio 1942 and Anejo, El Jimador (3 types), Cuervo 1800 Reposado, Del Maguey Chichicapa Mezcal.
Rums/Cachacas: Mount Gay XO, Don Q 151, Bacardi Reserve and 1873, Smith and Cross 57% Traditional Jamaican Rum; several brands of Brasilian Cachacas.
Gins: Tanqueray, Tanqueray No. 10, Citadelle.
Vodkas: Luksusowa, Chopin, Grey Goose, Tito's, Stolichnaya Gold, Russian Standard.
Liqueurs: Benedictine, Irish Mist, Sambuca, Frangelico, Galiano, probably 6 or 8 others...
The only two non-whisky bottles for which I have spent over $ 70 per bottle were the Don Julio 1942 and the Del Maguey Chichicapa.

Great thread. I love pretty much all liquors, but whisky and beer are my true loves. So, as you might expect, my cabinet is dominated by whisky with only a little rum, vodka and brandy in there to break up the monotony. None of those are of note. I do have a bottle of Amarula that I like to add to coffee when I'm in the mood, but I try not to drink coffee late in the day anymore. Beer-wise, I'm pretty much obsessed with local craft brews. My fridge is brimming with some good ones, thoughI do have some other gems that I haven't drank yet that I'm rather proud of -- the most notable of those are my Unibroue 17 and a couple vintages of Fuller's Vintage Ale. I'm never without at least a few very good IPAs.

@WhiskyBee I have the same types of store bought liquors everyone else seems to have. Vodka, Bacardi Rum, Jose Cuervo Tequila, and Innis&Gunn and Sam Adams beers. We try to buy local micro brews mostly. Thanks for sharing. :)

For me I have: Stoli vodka Botanist gin (made by bruichladich it's really good) Coole Swan cream liqueur (in the fridge) Pussers Rum Some simple cocktail liquors (mint liqueur, triple sec ect)
Got a bunch of ipa's from the craft beer brand sierra nevada, great for beer people who can't get enough hops.

@Jason0142 I've been meaning to pick up some of that Bruichladdich gin. I hear it's pretty damn good, and though it doesn't hold the same place as whisky for me, I loves me a good gin.
I read on their website that they hand-forage a lot of the ingredients for it. That's pretty cool.

@Bourbondork Just a quick question, I'm very interested in Rum as well as whisky and noticed you have Diplomatico and Pyrat. How do they compare with stuff like El Dorado or Angostura? Cheers!

Currently I'm adding to the shelf and apart from whisky have Havana Club 3yo (mixer), Janneau 5yo Armagnac, and Amaretto Disaronno (my wife likes this). Just finished a bottle of El Dorado 12 Rum (my favourite Rum so far) and looking to buy some good Gin which I haven't tried yet (any recommendations?)

@muckrum - the El Dorado 12 is really nice...if you are ever in Barbados, I'd encourage you to check out the St. Nicholas Abbey Distillery - their rum is phenomenal and not readily available outside of Barbados.

@muckrum I can't speak to El Dorado or Augustora to offer comparisons. The Pyrat is good but the bottle I have is an early numbered bottle and according to a friend of mine who's really into those bottles, the earlier the number, the better the rum. But, that's just his opinion. I like the Pyrat but not sure I would pick up another bottle. The Diplomatico on the other hand is superb and for the price, it's a grand bargain.

Living in Belgium it would almost be blasphemy if I did not have a couple of beers around. Both blond and dark style beers can always be found in the frigde, but I'm not much of a beer drinker. Maybe one or two a week? Apart from that, my cabinet does have three bottles of rum, one bottle of cognac and one bottle of eau-de-vie. And then 75 open bottles of whisk(e)y. I think that's a good ratio :)

Almost forgot: quite a few bottles of wine, two bottles of port and two bottles of sherry. But they are mostly for Dearly Beloved. She loves her wine (and I love her for not loving my whisky).

@muckrum, re gins, try Citadelle (a French Gin), Tanqueray No. 10., and Hendricks, which is really a different sort of "yin Gin", very delicate and heavy on cucumber flavour.
Others love Plymouth and Bombay Sapphire. I don't care for either one of those. Love the Sapphire name and the beautiful bottle, just don't like the gin.

Hendrick's Gin
Skyy Vodka
Crystal Head Vodka
Bacardi Rum
Jose Cuervo Tequila
...and usually at least a six-pack of Coronas and a few craft beers in the fridge.
I drink the Hendrick's (a cold G&T is a nice back-patio summer drink); the rest are mostly for guests. Small, basic, nothing too sophisticated. Maybe I should add a cognac.
How about you?
