@whiskyshiba No I haven't tried Black Maple yet. I was in BevMo yesterday and the lone bottle of Noah's Mill was just sitting there. I had to snatch it up.

Aberlour A'Bunadh Batch 33. Like creosote sandpaper across your tongue. Yeah baby.

Oban 18. An interesting whisky. A bit peppery which reminds me of a Talisker. They were hyping its rarity at the store. Ahh, the games DEO plc plays.

Opened my bottle of Redbreast Irish Single Pot Still 15, which I very much enjoyed at a tasting last November. Initial reimpression is that it is a wonderful top-shelf Irish whiskey ... but it does not trumph or replace Redbreast 12 Blended, which is special, soft and unique.

Clynelish 14. "The Poor Man's Brora" as I like to call it. An amazing whisky forever in the shadow of it's sibling Brora. If you like a clean straight shooting slightly honied single malt, try Clynelish. Reminiscent of Old Pulteney in many ways.

This weekend started out with a try of Buffalo Trace White Dog Mash.. It's now in the darkroom as film cleaner and wash agent. At least I think it's ok for cleaning it took e paint off the walls when I opened it.
We then went to Atlantic City, Wyoming for another fabulous whisky tasting at the Miner's Delight. No less than 13 tastings later I was quite past the white dog.
Thanks Bob!

Sipping a Dalwhinnie 15, while watching the sunset on the Croatian coastline. I'm really impressed. It's an easy drinking smooth whisky, oerfect for the summer. It is however also very subtle and engaging. I think I'm going to buy a bottle very soon!
