I'm wrapping up my review of Wasmund's Single Malt Virginia Whisky, and sipping the product that is being reviewed :) This is strange, but intriguing stuff ... perhaps nothing like it ... and it gets better after every sip :)

@Sharkk276, I have a problem with drinking Glenmorangie Sonnalta PX: every time I do, there is less of it remaining in my cabinet. This is a PROBLEM!

@Victor Wiser's Legacy is the most delightful taste of rye that i have ever experienced...a big chew of banana bread in a glass, raisins, half of the spice rack - and the next serving surpasses the last - everytime! That copper still in walkerville is simply the grandady of them all. Lot 40 and Legacy too. I wonder if Whistle Pig was also created at the same address?

@michaelschout I tried Bushmills this weekend and was mildly impressed so I picked up a bottle of the black and am working on that while in the darkroom. Closest thing to Irish Whiskey that tastes like whiskey. I rather like it.

@dbk, Thoroughly enjoying the Eagle Rare 10. One of my new faves. Thank you for the excellent review. Its like an everyday drinkable George T Stagg.

Ballechin Port matured. Damn its good. Good enough that I think I may have to make a point of searching out the other Ballechin expressions.

The Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask. I'm really happy with this one. Really not as spicy as I thought it was going to be, just the right amount. It even went well with my wife's chocolate chip cookies after dinner!

Edradour - I'm sitting in Il Bistro in Seattle. They have a decent whisk(e)y selection, some way overpriced. The Edradour is a reasonable $10. I just don't know which kind. I'm guessing the regular 10yo.

Just had a bottle of Yamasaki 18yo 2 nights ago. Had it over dinner. Couple of us drinking it, and the bottle last no more then 3 hrs. It was sweet and smooth, very easy drinking. Very pricy though. Almost US$300 for it. Most of the bottle shops are out of stocks. Wonder if they are keeping the stock aside, knowing that there's a price hype about it, esp in the near future, or been snatch up...

Yoichi 12. A very fine dram in which sweet, delicate peat and sherry intermingle. I find quite similar to Highland Park 12. I've no sample of the latter to compare them H2H, but it seems to me that the japanese malt has nothing to envy. In addition I have to say the 45% ABV gives it a nice mouthfeel. Cheers.
